Merry Christmas!

We spent this christmas at my parent's house in Gainesville. We opened gifts on christmas morning with Me, Tony, Leah, my mom and dad, Mimi and Ted, beka, and Joel. Zach, Sarah, Micah and Connor came later that afternoon, and Katie and Jered came on the 26th. So, we actually did christmas gifts three different times. Poor Andrew was with the Georgia football team in Shrievport, Louisiana and he missed everything.

On the afternoon of the 26th my mom's entire extended family came to Gainesville for a big Lee family reunion. There were about 40 people in all spread out in different houses in Gainesville, and for 3 days we played games, went to the park, went bowling, and basically had some great family time. I took almost no pictures the entire time... Sorry.

This is probably the uggliest ginger bread house I have ever seen. Tony, Jason Veatch, josh Lyons and I made it. I was primarily watching Leah, though, so I'm not taking credit for much.

Trip to Disney World

A couple of weeks ago Leah and I had the opportunity to spend two days at Disney World with the family that Katie nannie's for. The little girl's name is Anna; she is the sweetest little girl who is in a wheelchair and has other developmental problems. Anna loves everything disney, and being there with her made the trip even more special, because seeing her face light up when she saw the cinderella castle was just priceless. The whole trip was great, and the best part was that we did not have to wait in any lines because of Anna's wheelchair! I would love to go back in a few years when Leah is old enough to remember.

Anna never smiles in any of the pictures, but I promise she loved it.
There were christmas lights everywhere... It was awesome and really put me in the christmas spirit.

This is us at the Animal Kingdom. We went there on the first day.

Leah Loves her Minnie Mouse.
We went on an African Safari at the Animal Kingdom. It was really cool seeing all those wild animals up close.

How cool is this picture??
I am terrified of crocodiles, by the way.

Birthday and Halloween

Leah's first halloween was several weeks ago, and she was the cutest bumblebee ever! I chose this outfit because she loves singing the "bumblebee song" and gets very excited if I mention the word "bumblebee". We live in an awesome trick-or-treating neighborhood, and we went to several houses in our cul de sac to rack up on candy. Just kidding, we really didn't get much candy, and what we got, I ate. Anyways, it was fun.

This picture here was taken at the end of the night, and she was beyond exhausted. Oh, how sweet!
We celebrated Leah's 1st birthday on sunday the 25th. We chose this weekend mainly because it was a Georgia bi week. Yes, this was actually part of the reasoning, but Andrew couldn't come anyways, so it did not actually matter. Tony's parents, my parents, Zach and Sarah, Katie and Jered all came up for the "big celebration." I always said I would not do a big thing for her 1st birthday, but it was a good opportunity for everyone to come and see our new house. And, I got the chance to make this rainbow cake!

I'm not gonna lie, this cake was the highlight of the party for me. I was so proud of it. It was actually pretty easy to make, too. If you notice, the cake is scientifically accurate, except that i left out the indigo in the "ROYGBIV" anagram. I mean, what the heck is indigo?

The outside is not so nice. I am not a cake decorator.

Leah and aunt Katie! I know Katie misses keeping Leah overnight!

I didn't take many pictures with my camera, because Zach was there taking pictures with his, and so were mine and Tony's parents. They have way more pictures than I do.

Leah's new friend

I meant to put these pictures on last post, but I forgot. This is Emma, the little girl who lives next door to us. She comes over everyday asking to "play with the baby". Today I was actually babysitting her for a few hours, and she is pretend reading to Leah right now. It's hilarious, because Leah loves her to death. She gets so excited every time she sees her.
Leah probably weighs almost as much as Emma, even though Emma is four. Here leah has literally knocked her down.
Emma's mom told me the other day that Emma came home the first time she played with Leah and said "I'm friends with the baby next door!" It was pretty cute.

update

So here's a quick update on everything that has been going on in our lives the past month or so:
- Tony is still working on base as an aeronautical engineer. Apparently he works on the J130's, whatever that means.
- I got a job in the ER here in Warner Robins and I will begin in about two weeks. I will be working 1 shift a week, or two shifts every 2 weeks (2 days on, 12 off). I have absolutely loved this time I have had off, but I think I am going to enjoy the 1 day a week. We'll see!
- We have been attending Houston Lake Presbyterian Church, and so far we have loved it.
- We don't have cable or even any basic channels. It has been difficult.
- I painted our kitchen yellow, the guest bathroom blue, and Leah's bathroom green and pink. (this is a picture of the kitchen)

- Leah is now walking like a maniac:

Oh, and Leah is also about to turn 1 ! Woohoo! Her birthday is october 28th, and we are going to be having a little get together with family. She is not really talking yet... she says dada and mama, but she babbles a lot in baby lingo. She is also a very determined and intense little girl: she wants what she wants, when she wants it. She has had many screaming fits, and she will ball her little hands up in anger. It's pretty funny, but its also kind of scary for later on in life.

new job, new house.

For those of you who don't know, Tony, Leah and I recently moved to the great city of Warner Robins, where Tony has begun to work on the airforce base there. We also are in the process of closing of a house and have already moved in.
This is the house. I will post more pictures of it as I actually get stuff squared away on the inside. I am currently not working, and all my friends in statesboro have told me that I must keep up with my blog, so I'm going to try to. No promises, though. Mainly because I'm pretty bad at it, and I can't quite figure out how to do anything with the blog. Also, I'm probably going to apply to some hospitals and try to work once a week or so, which isn't much, but still. Anywho, I will work on posting more, keeping people in touch, and try to figure out how to change the background, layout, etc of the blog. That's it for now.
