Elana's baptism

We had the wonderful privilege of adding Elana to the Covenant family this past weekend. My dad was able to come down and actually perform the baptism, and my mom and Tony's parents joined us as well.

This is the only picture that was taken on our camera. Like usual, I forgot to bring it to the church, but I'm pretty sure the grandparents took pictures of the actual baptism.

After the church service we all came to our house and ate some burgers, and my dad even got to go on a motorcycle ride!

We are so thankful to be able to celebrate this time with family!

Embrace

This is an old picture, and it looks pretty much just like all the other pictures of me and one of my kids, but I just didn't have a good embrace the camera in me today.

Unique

I love the fact

That even though Elana is my third baby

I can still sit here and stare at her

and never get tired of it.

Because I just love her smiling face so darn much!

daddy and the girls

This is one of my favorite pictures! Elias goes to bed a little bit earlier than Leah, and so at night we have about 15 minutes of just the girls :)

Weekend

We had the great pleasure of seeing my brother Andrew this weekend. He's the athletic trainer for a basketball team that had their tournament in Macon, and he came down to stay the night after their game. My kids really really love playing with their uncles, and they were so excited! We went to Lanes on Saturday, and a good time was had by all.

Bugs don't obey

Trying to have a serious conversation with a three year old is like.... well.... it's like trying to have a serious conversation with a three year old.

"Leah, God tells us that we have to obey."

"But bugs don't obey."

"You're right, bugs don't obey. But we aren't bugs, God made us special, right?"

"Yeah, but God made bugs, and bugs don't obey, so I don't obey."

"Well, you're not a bug, you are a little girl made in God's image. That means God made us to be a little bit like him. And he wants us to obey him."

"But God can make bugs into people!!!!!"

"Yes, he can, but he probably won't."

"Why!!!! Why won't God make bugs into people?"

"Because he made bugs to be bugs and people to be people"

"Can I have some gum??

"Sure."

T-ball

Leah had her second T-ball practice last night! This is her first official organized anything, and it's so cute it's almost unbearable. The coach is our assistant pastor at church, and there are 5 kids from the church on the team, including the famous Jameson (you know, the one she wants to marry one day).

Teaching 11 three and four year olds how to do anything is pretty difficult. Right now they are mastering the art of running to the different bases, fielding the ball with the alligator chomp, and they got to practice hitting last night. Tony is helping coach the team as well, and so far it has been a pretty fun experience! I can't wait till their first game.

Group hug

So apparently I blog in spurts. I will go for weeks on end with absolutely no updates, and then I have like 5 posts I want to do all at the same time.

Here is our group hug:

If you are wondering why I don't have hardly any pictures of Elias with Elana, it's because these pictures are very risky. Elias loves to hug his sister. He also loves to lay on her, poke her eyes, and squeeze her head. I think (hope) it's all done out of love, but either way, it makes it hard for me to capture those moments on camera.

hair cut

Here is my new haircut!

I got about 5 inches taken off and its very very layered. Kind of hard to tell in pictures though :)

morning smiles

Every morning Leah asks the same thing: "Is Lanie awake yet??" (Lanie is Elana, fyi). When Elana finally wakes up, usually around 8:30 or so (a good two hours after Leah wakes up), Leah will run in and start talking to her baby sister.

Their faces are priceless!

I really really hope these two will be close, and that Leah will always treat her little sister with the love she shows her now.

embrace the camera

Embracing the camera with my little buddy!

Leah took both of these pictures. She's kind of getting that.
