So I am actually writing this blog whilst I am at work. How fun! Excuse my language, but this night has been hell until about right now (4:00 am). Thankfully, we are down to about 6 patients in the ER right now, and none of them are very sick. We just ordered some food and are sitting around stuffing our faces. Hopefully I will be able to go through the rest of my shift without seeing another patient, but I highly doubt that this will be the case. Okay, I have to go and do some actual work right now. I bet that tomorow they are going to block this website and I will no longer be able to blog here.

PS... The time on this post says 1:01 am. It is not that time. It is actually 4:00 am. Just thought I'd let yall know.

Sitting, crawling, standing.

This is about the highest that she can hold her head up. She absolutely hates being on her stomach so I can't leave her there for long.
She loves standing. She can bear her own weight on her legs!
She can sit up about 5 seconds before falling down.

Although she can not yet sit, crawl, or stand, here are some picture that make it seem like she can.

new overalls

So yesterday I went over to Marissa's house so she could teach me how to sew. This is something that I have been trying to do for about two years now. I have begun many sewing projects that I have never finished, and I was determined this time to actually complete something. I made these cute overalls, using the exact same design that Marissa used! They fit Leah just right, but I'll probably have to adjust them to make them a little bigger as she grows.

First day of work

So last night I went back to work after 11 glorious week of maternity leave. My shift started off great; it was a slow night, things were calm and quiet. Then, around 10:30 that night people decided that their sore throats and runny noses that they have had for the past two days were all of a sudden an emergency, and lo and behold, we were slammed for the next 8 hours. What fun! I got home around 6:45, and I managed to sleep until around 9:15, which is when Leah began crying. So we have been up since then, and I have to say that I am almost collapsing with exhaustion. My house is a total wreck, but I just don't care. Of course Leah, who usually takes long naps, has not gone back to sleep yet, so I think I'm just gonna make some coffee and power through the rest of the day.

random pictures

Leah sleeping with her daddy. How cute!
Her hair is all curly when it is wet, but it never dries that way... Oh well.
Yeah... I can't figure out how to rotate the picture, either... like I said, computer illiterate.

This is Leah on her first day home.

Okay, so I am just playing around right now, trying to figure out how to add pictures.  It took like 5 minutes for one picture to download... If this is the case I don't think I will be doing any more picture downloading.

Starting my blog

Okay, So I'm doing something I never thought I would do.... Start a blog. Now this little experiment might fail completely... This might be my one and only post, for two reasons: I can't figure out how to work it, and I don't know how much time I will have once I start back work tomorrow. I am completely computer illiterate; it took me a year to figure out how to change my facebook profile picture and it might take me just as long to figure out how to add pictures to this thing. However, I feel like this is what people with children do now; they write blogs. Therefore, as it is my custom to want to please people and conform to their expectations I will attempt to keep up with this. Also, I'm getting tired of putting pictures up on facebook, because in my mind it is still a "college" thing.
